Descriptions Quantum Interaction
This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-conference proceedings of the 5th International Symposium on Quantum Interaction, QI 2011, held in Aberdeen, UK, in June 2011. The 26 revised full papers and 6 revised poster papers, presented together with 1 tutorial and 1 invited talk were carefully reviewed and selected from numerous submissions during two rounds of reviewing and improvement. The papers show the cross-disciplinary nature of quantum interaction covering topics such as computation, cognition, mechanics, social interaction, semantic space and information representation and retrieval.

An electronic book, also known as an e-book or eBook, is a book publication made available in digital form, consisting of text, images, or both, readable on the flat-panel display of computers or other electronic devices. Although sometimes defined as "an electronic version of a printed book",some e-books exist without a printed equivalent. E-books can be read on dedicated e-reader devices, but also on any computer device that features a controllable viewing screen, including desktop computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones.

Simplifying long-range quantum interactions in many-body systems - - Figure 1: Modeling long-range entanglement in quantum many-body systems is made easier by assuming the area law. Credit: Tony Melov/Science Photo Library. Calculations for certain quantum systems
Quantum interaction: 10,000 times faster than light - NBC News - How fast do quantum interactions happen? Faster than light, 10,000 times faster. That's what a team of physicists led by Juan Yin at the University of Science and Technology of China in Shanghai
Theoretical physicists predict quantum interactions within 3D molecules - Another benefit of using molecules in quantum experiments is that molecules also have long-range dipolar interactions: in contrast to atoms which have to bump into each other to interact
Do parallel quantum universes really exist? | Live Science - In some interpretations of quantum mechanics, such as the Many-Worlds interpretation or the Pilot Wave Theory, parallel universes may form every time a subatomic particle goes through any interaction
'Spooky action at a distance' can lead to a multiverse. Here's how - Physicists call this process quantum entanglement — what Albert Einstein referred to as "spooky action at a distance." When we retrace all the steps of a measurement, what comes out is a series

What's considered an interaction in Quantum Mechanics? - to add to what Quantum-Collapse said: interaction between particles (or quantum systems) is manifested in the Hamiltonian operator, and taken into account through the wave function. for example, coloumb interaction between 2 electrons is represented in the Hamiltonian equation as a potential term, in addition to the kinetic terms of both particles:
[2304.05877] Measurement-based quantum Otto engine with a two-spin - Download PDF Abstract: We have studied the performance of a measurement-based quantum Otto engine (QOE) in a working system of two spins coupled by Heisenberg anisotropic interaction. A non-selective quantum measurement fuels the engine. We have calculated thermodynamic quantities of the cycle in terms of the transition probabilities between the instantaneous energy eigenstates, and also
Do quantum effects play a role in consciousness? - Physics World - A quantum system - which might refer for example to the dynamics of a photon - is a delicate thing. Conventionally, quantum effects are observed at low temperatures where this system is isolated from destructive interactions with its surrounding environment
Interaction picture - Wikipedia - In quantum mechanics, the interaction picture (also known as the interaction representation or Dirac picture after Paul Dirac) is an intermediate representation between the Schrödinger picture and the Heisenberg in the other two pictures either the state vector or the operators carry time dependence, in the interaction picture both carry part of the time dependence of observables
Does consciousness explain quantum mechanics? | Live Science - A wild theory suggests that consciousness may explain quantum mechanics, by forcing the subatomic particles to choose one concrete outcome. One of the most perplexing aspects of quantum mechanics
Atomic Architecture: quantitative insights for engineering new quantum - Abstract: A foundational goal of contemporary materials design is understanding how the interactions between atomic lattice, orbitals, charges, and spins drive functional properties in order to more efficiently engineer new compounds with tunable behaviors. This grand challenge necessitates local, quantitative probes of the atomic, electronic, and magnetic structures to bridge macroscopic
9.8: Configuration Interaction - Chemistry LibreTexts - Configuration interaction (CI) methods help to overcome this limitation. Because electrons interact and repel each other, their motion in atoms is correlated. When one electron is close to the nucleus, the other tends to be far away. When one is on one side, the other tends to be on the other side. This motion is related to that of two people
Study unveils the quantum nature of the interaction between photons and - Study unveils the quantum nature of the interaction between photons and free electrons. An artist's depiction of the ACHIP structure and the interaction in it. A silicon-photonics device
5.4: The Electron-Photon Interaction - Physics LibreTexts - As the system evolves, the excited electron may decay into its ground state | 0 by emitting a photon with energy E, equal to the energy difference between the atom's excited state | 1 and ground state | 0 . For a non-relativistic electron, the Hamiltonian (5.1.20) yields the interaction Hamiltonian. Hint = e 2m(ˆp ⋅ ˆA + h. c.),

Quantum mechanics | Definition, Development, & Equations - quantum mechanics, science dealing with the behaviour of matter and light on the atomic and subatomic scale. It attempts to describe and account for the properties of molecules and atoms and their constituents—electrons, protons, neutrons, and other more esoteric particles such as quarks and gluons. These properties include the interactions of the particles with one another and with
The first demonstration of phase-matching between an electron wave and - "The quantum nature of light is usually neglected for interactions with free electrons, but the strong interaction we achieved here can hopefully change that," Kaminer said. "Such quantum effects

Quantum interaction uses insights, techniques, and models developed in quantum physics and applies them in new areas of informatics. Applications of quantum informatics have so far included organizational
Quantum - Wikipedia - In physics, a quantum (plural quanta) is the minimum amount of any physical entity (physical property) involved in an fundamental notion that a physical property can be "quantized" is referred to as "the hypothesis of quantization". This means that the magnitude of the physical property can take on only discrete values consisting of integer multiples of one quantum
Quantum electrodynamics - Wikipedia - In particle physics, quantum electrodynamics (QED) is the relativistic quantum field theory of essence, it describes how light and matter interact and is the first theory where full agreement between quantum mechanics and special relativity is achieved. QED mathematically describes all phenomena involving electrically charged particles interacting by means of exchange of
Interaction-free measurement - Wikipedia - In physics, interaction-free measurement is a type of measurement in quantum mechanics that detects the position, presence, or state of an object without an interaction occurring between it and the measuring device. Examples include the Renninger negative-result experiment, the Elitzur-Vaidman bomb-testing problem, and certain double-cavity optical systems, such as Hardy's paradox
Many-body problem - Wikipedia - Many-body problem. The many-body problem is a general name for a vast category of physical problems pertaining to the properties of microscopic systems made of many interacting particles. Microscopic here implies that quantum mechanics has to be used to provide an accurate description of the system. Many can be anywhere from three to infinity
